I was reading the comic Young Avengers when it re-launched from Marvel. It was not only super funny but super insightful about gender norms and race.

As a black nerd these types of issues are often overlooked for more typical “white male burden issues”. So I knew i wanted to do a character from the book as tribute to the books writer.

Then when they updated Kid Loki’s design I knew instantly I wanted to do that character. I loved the 20 something emo look that the character had. It was so original from any other Loki design I had ever seen. Plus it would be a challenge to try to take on making the winter jacket but also the scale armor.
