Earlier in my life as a teenager I observed that as the people around me aged they seemed to stop in place and tended to dwell more and more in the past. Perhaps this is a natural (or at least typical) function of aging. 

I myself didn’t want to end up stagnant like that so I’ve cultivated an open minded, inquisitive mindset over the years. There is so much in the world to enjoy and have fun with, new things to learn, people to meet and experiences to try that I’ll never be able to get to them all. So I say to oldsters out there WHY NOT try it and have a great time doing it?”
